Psalm 122—May all brothers and friends live at peace.
"Now our feet have taken us to the very gates of Jerusalem."
Rendition of Psalm 122
My heart filled with hope when the time came To go again to the house of the Lord. Now our feet have taken us To the very gates of Jerusalem. Holy Jerusalem, built to bind the tribes together So that we can be joined here To give thanks to the Lord. This is the city of the king And here is the throne Of the house of David. We will pray for the peace of Jerusalem: May you draw together all who love the Lord; May your gates be open forever Because only peace is within your walls; May we drink from the river That flows from the throne and live; May all brothers and friends live at peace; And dwell in the house of the Lord forever.
