Psalm 114—The sea saw them and fled. The Jordan held itself still.
"They became is holy temple, The place where he ruled."
Rendition of Psalm 114
When Israel came out from Egypt And the House of Jacob from a land Of a foreign tongue, They became his holy temple, The place where he ruled. The sea saw them and fled. The Jordan held itself still. The mountains shook And the high places on the hills Trembled like new lambs. Why is the sea in flight? Why is the Jordan routed? Why do the mountains sway and shake? Because of the God of Jacob, Before whom the whole earth Writhes like a woman in labor, Who made the water rise from the rock, Who turned the flint into a fountain.
