I want to say stupid things even though people will say, "there are no stupid things." (there are) But I still hold you write better songs of praise than even David. And I mean it. And it's true.

The word “pocked” is great here. And I love the Jesus allusion in “I have a different food they know nothing about.” Also reminds me of the ravens feeding Elijah.

I didn't think of the ravens and Elijah. Good catch. That fits with the rest of that part of the rendition too. He was a man opposed.

I love the simplicity and quietness of

"Before I suffered, I was proud

And wandered from the way.

But now I am lowly and quiet

And I wait for your word."

Also, your rendition of Heth reminds me of Moses, and your rendition of Teth reminds me of Psalm 34

I have two things to say. If these come across as critiques, that is not my intention.

#1: "199" instead of "119"

#2: Why have these taken longer to come out vs. some of you other similar-length renditions without poems?

#1. Nice one. I fixed it.

#2. Mostly being busy right now. I'm excited to zoom through these renditions now that they are unattached from the poetry but even though they are faster, they still take time. I do most of my writing before my kids get up so it is variable depending on, say, them being sick the past few weeks and not getting much sleep. But that's the answer. Good question, Micah.
